What Is CEREC and How Does it Work?
CEREC is an advanced in-office milling technology that uses 3D-modeling software to manufacture porcelain dental restorations. The system's scanning technology makes extremely accurate models of the problem tooth or area in your mouth. Once we perform this scan, a crown will be made from the digital impression. The machine uses a solid ceramic piece to craft your restoration, providing exceptional durability and longevity for your treatment.

However, when it comes to porcelain, both same-day and lab-created restorations are very similar in terms of durability and aesthetic appeal.
As with most dental procedures, there may be some discomfort following the crown placement. While some patients have reported sensitivity in the area around where we performed the procedure, the sensation generally goes away quickly. Same-day crowns should be cared for in much the same way as your natural teeth. Good oral hygiene, like brushing and flossing, is always recommended.
